⚖️ THEY PULLED YOUR NAME OFF THE CHAIN NOW NOBODY WILL SIGN FOR THE GAP 🔗

They took one name off a diagram because the diagram looked cleaner without it. Nobody tested the chain before they did it. Nobody could have, because the only person who knew what the link was rated for was the link. Nothing fell that week. Nothing ever falls that week. A properly held thing keeps its shape for a season or two on friction and habit alone, which is exactly long enough for everyone involved to congratulate themselves on a tidy decision. Then something heavy arrived and asked a question, and the question landed on an empty line. This one walks through fourteen points: why a signature is a statement about load rather than a formality, what an auditor actually does when they walk a record forward one handoff at a time, why a covered gap belongs to whoever covered it and an uncovered gap belongs to the process, and what happens to a system the day its absorber is removed and the pressure stays exactly where it was. They are not missing a person. They are missing an interval. A stretch of time with no name attached to it, sitting in the middle of a record that is about to be read out loud by somebody who was not there. That gap is not yours to close. You were never the one who opened it.
