Kugelpanzer (Das Werk 1:35 scale model)

This 1:35 scale model kit from Das Werk represents the Kugelpanzer - a prototype, somewhat mythical vehicle produced by Germany during World War 2. Although not quite a paper panzer, little is known about the Kugelpanzer. One example is known to have been exported to Japan during the war, and the same (?) example currently survives in the Kubinka tank museum in Russia. Some say this tank was captured by the Soviets in Manchuria, while others say it was captured in Germany towards the end of the war at the Kummersdorf proving grounds where the Maus was developed. The kit of this vehicle is very small, and in fact Das Werk include two in the box. In this video I perform a quite build, paint, and weathering of the Kugelpanzer - one in captured Soviet colours and one in factory fresh red oxide primer.
