I set both monitors as follows below to make it a fair test. Since the new G8 OLED Software update 1504 disabled SDR Peak brightness I kept both with Peak off (even though the G9 OLED on stock firmware does have the option). 21:9 vs 32:9 has been an eye opening experience. As there is much more information displayed on the OLED G9. This is our first time seeing the Samsung Display QD OLED 2023 v2 panel on the 49" OLED G9. In this specific test in SDR mode I am seeing 20-30nits higher on the G9 on average.
