Oyster Farming in the Southern United States Using the OysterGro System

Oyster farmers in the southeast Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coast grow oysters for the half shell market. From seed to plate, they use a variety of gear on the farm to lift, flip and develop the oyster into a valuable product. Using research to identify best practices for the farm allows the industry to grow. Interviews with farmers, extensions agents, and researchers discussing oyster farming and using the OysterGro® process, challenges, and solutions will provide perspective farmers with an overview of the industry. The video is instructional and offers a review of oyster farming methods.
