Lay it Aside

In this week’s message, “Lay It Aside,” Pastor Joe Leavell invites us to examine the spiritual baggage we carry—fear, unforgiveness, and the need for approval—that keeps us from living out our God-given purpose. Drawing from Hebrews 12:1–2 and the “cloud of witnesses” who have gone before us, Pastor Joe uses the vivid metaphor of airport security to remind us that, just as travelers must leave certain things behind to reach their destination, we too must lay aside the weights that hinder our spiritual race. Through honest storytelling and biblical insight, listeners are challenged to release what holds them back, fix their eyes on Jesus, and run their race with perseverance and freedom. Tune in for practical encouragement and a powerful call to trust God each step of the journey. 00:00 - Pre-sermon 00:00 - Closing series: lay aside every weight 01:46 - Lay aside what hinders your journey. 04:29 - Keep running your faith race with patience. 10:23 - Let go of fear and forgive 15:10 - Forgiveness frees you to move forward. 18:58 - Stop living for others' applause. 24:33 - Let go; God carries you forward. 29:53 - Post-sermon
