Beyond the 66th Parallel South

An Antarctic Sound Experiment. Throughout my seasons working in Antarctica, I've collected plenty of memories and video footage of the Antarctic life and environment. While the videos are a nice medium for sharing my experiences, they don't carry the same emotional weight to a random viewer compared to my own memories. The goal is to bring the viewer to Antarctica so it feels as if they are standing in icy isolation. Most of my memories from Antarctic are attached with sound, whether it is ambient music, some noise from the wind cutting across the ice , or just the complete absence of noise. So in this video, I've tried attaching the sounds that remind me of my experiences down on the ice.
