KartChamps 2019 National Final - THE TOP 10 FINAL - TeamSport Stoke

Main final for the Top 10 drivers in the Featherweight category. In this final we were finally able to race drivers from the other group. Starting on pole was a relief as it meant less work needed to be done for a good result, especially on a narrow track like this. I aimed to absolutely nail lap 1 so I can just pull away. Turned out my kart was not all that good! Could feel it slacking slightly, so was probably losing 3 to 4 tenths but it was still good enough to get the job done. 2nd place was able to keep up fairly well for awhile but around the 2/3 mark I started to eek away more and more. Finished 1st with a best lap of 35.0! National Champion on the first attempt! Really pleased. Trekking for hours by train and walking in the rain from uni and back was all worth it :) Not bad for a non indoor driver! Onto my first encounters of BUKC... Dante Facebook Page:   / danteracingx
