Mining and Minerals Engineering: A day in the life

Follow Mitchell Dreffer, a senior in the Department of Mining and Minerals Engineering at Virginia Tech, through a day in his life. He goes to classes focusing on safety and sustainability in mining, works on designing a mine from concept to completion in his capstone project, as well as leads the Marching Virginians as a drum major.
