ONI: THE GATE OF RASHOMON | Japanese Trap Mix | Shamisen × Taiko

The great gate of the capital has fallen into ruin. No one walks past it after dark — because something lives in it. A warrior accepts the dare and rides up the empty avenue. A hand reaches down from the roof, and one stroke cuts off the oni's arm. He seals it in a box for seven days. On the sixth night an old aunt comes to visit, the box is opened, and the aunt becomes the oni again. Thunder rolls over Rashomon, the rain keeps falling, and at last the old gate collapses. ONI: THE GATE OF RASHOMON is a dark Japanese trap mix combining traditional Japanese sounds with deep 808s, heavy trap drums and cinematic atmosphere. Dry shamisen, pounding taiko, an eerie shakuhachi, cold koto, a buzzing biwa, a thin kokyu and a low shinobue haunt the ruined gate through rain and thunder — heavy, patient and relentless.
