Man Called X 52 01 22 68 Casablanca

The Man Called X (1944–1952) Starring Herbert Marshall as Ken Thurston — the globe-trotting American intelligence agent known simply as “Mr. X.” From the later years of World War II into the early Cold War, Thurston was sent into exotic and dangerous corners of the world wherever mystery, intrigue, and romance collided. He was joined (and frequently complicated) by his opportunistic sidekick Pegon Zellschmidt, played by Leon Belasco, who somehow always turned up with a “cousin” nearby. The series opened with one of old-time radio’s classic lines: “Wherever there’s mystery, intrigue, romance… in all the strange and dangerous places of the world… there you will find The Man Called X.” A polished blend of espionage, light tension, and Marshall’s urbane delivery — one of the better spy dramas of the Golden Age.
