80th Independence Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Mebo #pasighatnews MEBO, Aug 15: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Romdum General Ground in Mebo. MLA Oken Tayeng unfurled the national flag and paid tribute to the contributions of freedom fighters from the Adi community. He called upon farmers to promote organic pineapple and lemon cultivation and encouraged the youth to pursue entrepreneurship. The MLA also highlighted the proposed mega flood-protection project and emphasized his vision for the overall development of Mebo. During the programme, winners of the Inter-Banggo Literary Competition were presented with awards, while individuals and groups who had made notable contributions in various fields were honoured with Commendation Certificates.
