The Ivy Percussion Duo is a dynamic chamber ensemble based in the Philadelphia region of the United States. Featuring percussionists William Irish and Keegan Vaughan, the duo has performed together for over five years, presenting concerts and pursuing artistic study across three continents. Their musical development has been shaped by distinguished artists including Pius Cheung, Eriko Daimo, Keiko Abe, and Johan Bridger. As graduate fellows at the University of Delaware, they currently study under the internationally acclaimed Quey Percussion Duo, Gene Koshinski and Tim Broscious. The Ivy Percussion Duo performs a diverse repertoire spanning established marimba duo literature, contemporary works, and innovative arrangements of classical masterpieces. Dedicated to expanding the artistic possibilities of the instrument, the duo seeks to bring the marimba to concert stages around the world, showcasing its remarkable expressive range, technical virtuosity, and compelling presence as a concert instrument. Most recently, the Ivy Percussion Duo won first prize in the Duo Category of the 2026 Great Plains International Marimba Competition. Additionally, they were awarded as finalists in the 2026 Italy Percussive Arts Society "Percussive Arts Web Contest."
