How to remove and replace the ignition lock assembly on a 2011-2015 VW Tiguan

This video shows the process to remove and reinstall the ignition assembly on a 2011-2015 Tiguan. They are renowned for failing internally, either jamming in the off position (so car can’t be started) or jamming in the on position (so car can’t be turned off).
