Ten years ago, Bali Catamarans, the new brand of leisure catamarans launched by Catana Group, shook up the global catamaran market by redefining its standards. After three decades without significant change, Bali introduced a new way of designing the nacelle of its boats and reorganizing circulation on board. The brand unveiled major innovations: walkaround circulation, a modular saloon-cockpit with a tilting door, a forward living space replacing the trampoline and accessible through front doors, as well as expansive flybridges. These concepts created a real disruption in the market and were gradually adopted by other builders, as evidenced by the widespread reduction of trampolines. Today, BateauScopie looks back at these design elements that set a Bali catamaran apart from its competitors, together with Boris Compagnon, Sales and Marketing Director of the French brand.
