An uncomfortable truth in modular synths

Everyone knows "Less is more"...but when you're worried about not having enough 'firepower' onstage, I think we conveniently disbelieve it. Yet, the more that time passes, the more I notice that my favourite improvisatory musicians have very little gear onstage.
