PEACE BE STILL

Regardless of what happens to us in this life—even through heartbreaking loss, overwhelming sorrow, and storms we do not understand—Christ’s perfect will shall be accomplished. Those who belong to Him are held securely in His hands, and one day we will live safely in His presence for all eternity. The story of Horatio Spafford losing his four daughters reminded us that faith does not protect us from every tragedy. But it does assure us that sorrow will not have the final word. Jesus Christ does. “Peace, Be Still” tells the story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee, as recorded in Mark 4:35–41. The disciples believed they were about to perish, but with only a word, Jesus silenced the wind and calmed the waves. The same Savior who calmed the Galilee is still with us today. No storm is greater than His authority, no fear is beyond His peace, and no night is so dark that He cannot lead us through it. When you cannot see the shoreline, trust the One who holds you. Jesus is near, and He still speaks to troubled hearts: “Peace… Be still.” Thank you for listening to Songs of Faith and Hope.
