Pack 1:• DJ Easygroove • DJ Rap • DJ Phantasy (replaced DJ Hype, who was double-booked) • DJ Swan-E Helter Skelter was one of the UK’s longest-running and most influential dance music and rave promoters, founded in September 1989 by David and Penny Pratley. • Acid House Beginnings: Helter Skelter started during the late-1980s acid house boom, holding its first underground outdoor party near Adderbury, Oxfordshire, on September 30, 1989. • The Sanctuary Era: The organization became synonymous with the Sanctuary Music Arena in Milton Keynes. They expanded capacity by utilizing the adjacent "Rollers" skating rink to host thousands of revellers across dual-arena complexes with fairground rides and cafes. • Mega-Festivals: Their largest-ever event was Energy ’97 – The Carnival of Dance held at Turweston Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, which drew 18,000 ravers across multiple big-top tents. • Decline: As music trends shifted toward UK garage and mainstream club styles around the turn of the millennium, the organization's massive hardcore and drum & bass raves wound down, with their final events at The Sanctuary taking place around 1999–2004.
