Open your Doors

This song is one of the first self written works of Midas Touch, the german-hungarian Rock project. In 2001 it was on a promo tape recorded in Memmingen-Egelsee with sound engineer Mark Becker. Kriki Szabo came with this funky idea and Christian Hau completed it to a catchy fast number. Chris Schöning wrote lyrics and melodies as well as chorusses. It is about unability to love, describes people who hide behind walls and doors, giving the advice to open the doors of perception. Infectious grooves came from Alex Schmidt with his bass guitar and Klaus Baller on drums. Mark Becker made a hot Chili Peppers sound on it, his alltime favs. Nowadays the song was rediscovered by Attila Pallagi, producer and guitar player of actual line-up of Midas Touch. He collected live footage and a 1-take rehearsal track and put it all together. On stage and on instruments the Midas Touch band of the year 2025. Kristian Szabo (guit.), Chris Schöning (voc.), Balazs Cseh (bass guit.), Attila Pallagi (guit. back voc.), Arpad Hohl (drums).
