📕The rookie changed my renewal form to a resignation—my GF said it’s a joke, but I left for real

📖 Story Synopsis: After winning the Summer Championship, there was no sign of my contract renewal— yet I discovered a withdrawal request from the team, with the submitter’s name boldly written as my girlfriend, Elena. I stormed into her office like a madman, demanding an explanation. From ranking at the bottom of the league to winning the Summer title, I endured my old injuries, forcing myself to play under pressure, my wrists wrapped tight in kinesiology tape. As the team’s coach, she couldn’t possibly be unaware. But she merely chuckled, brushing it off as if nothing happened. “Just a joke. Mickey and I made a bet on whether you’d notice before the deadline. Looks like I won.” Mickey —the rookie she insisted on signing against everyone’s objections. I swallowed my rage. “And you two thought it was okay to use me as a bet?” She frowned, her tone filled with irritation. “It’s not like you can’t cancel it yourself in the system. What’s the big deal?” So this was it— the starting position I fought for with everything I had, was nothing more than a casual wager in her eyes.
