I Never Wanted This Goodbye – Zara Milian | Official Audio

“I never wanted this goodbye—I wanted a life with you.” Some goodbyes happen while you’re still in love. I wrote this song about finding someone who felt instantly familiar, after half a lifetime of living so close without meeting. But he already belonged to another life, and I became the secret. It’s about the uncertainty, the friendship, and the everyday tenderness I didn’t want to lose. Saying goodbye meant grieving more than him: it meant letting go of the home, the child, and the years together we had imagined. With an intimate acoustic opening, rhythmic verses, and a swelling chorus, “I Never Wanted This Goodbye” holds the words I’m still learning how to say. “I wish I could erase the hurt without erasing you.” _ Lyrics and creative direction: Zara Milian Music and vocals generated with Suno AI. #INeverWantedThisGoodbye #ZaraMilian #HeartbreakSong
