Be merciful and bless this beggar with your Nam so that I may always remain absorbed in your love. I sacrifice myself to your Nam, O true Lord! The Lord is the Cause of all causes; there is no one else. This wretched creature has drifted through numerous cycles of birth and death – O Lord, show me some compassion now. Be merciful and bless me with your darshan; O Lord, grant me such a boon. Says Nanak: It was by the Guru’s grace that the door of illusion was thrown open and I realized the Lord.
