Minecraft Beta 1.4 April Fools' Day 2011: The Steve-Conomy Update! [patched in Beta 1.4_01]

Along the update to the just-released Minecraft Beta 1.4 on March 31st Notch added locked, glowing crates that need a key to be purchased at the "Minecraft Store". Well, at least they are supposed to. ;) Those only appeared in fresh-created chunks, so most people found these only on April 1st if they went to discover their existing worlds or created a new one. This was patched with version Beta 1.4_01. If you're wondering, the game sent you to this URL (as seen at 0:33). First patched with a "♥ April Fools'! ♥" note, it is now gone. :( http://www.minecraft.net/store/loot.jsp As you can easily spot, this is supposed to be a parody of Team Fortess 2's Mann Co. Store. The page even used the original "TF2 Build" font and offered a "Miner's Helmet" similar to TF2 Engineer's "Mining light" hat: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Min... Used programs for recording and editing: Fraps, HyperCam, VirtualDubMod and Audacity. (Re-upped because most current Staxrip's x264 produces garbage when decoded by YouTube. Now uploaded as WebM. -.-)
