For most of Earth's history, if you'd stepped outside, you'd have passed out in under a minute. And the reason isn't the heat or the ice. Watch next: How Long Would You Last?    • How Long Would You Last?   So Tiny went back in time, one way, with a stopwatch and a little air meter, and got dropped onto six versions of Earth, once exactly as you are and once in a suit. Along the way: a swamp forest with too much oxygen and dragonflies as wide as a pigeon, the Great Dying and a sea as hot as a bath, a planet frozen into a snowball, a billion years where almost nothing happened (and we have actual bubbles of that air), the bacteria that filled the sky with oxygen and nearly ended everything, and the molten first Earth with a Moon hanging far closer than today. Some of this is measured, and a lot of it is models and best guesses. I say which is which in the video.
