Beautiful Blustery Hike-Silver Dollar and Murray Lakes-Arapaho National Forest-Solo Day Hike

On June 10, 2026-I hiked to Silver Dollar and Murray Lakes in the Arapaho National Forest. I have wanted to do this hike for years but the trailhead is so far away from where I live. I loved this hike. It's not too long and the scenery is outstanding. The only negative on this day was the wind. It was gusting 40-60mph. It made it so hard to film and take photos. Murray Lake was my favorite out of the two and it wasn't as windy there. Trail conditions were three snow slopes to hike through. Two were easy, one was a bit more challenging because it was so steep. I did my best to stay low and close to the rocks. 4.4 miles and 1000 feet of elevation gain.
