Brett Eldredge - Hideaway (Live Performance) | Vevo

Brett Eldredge - Hideaway. An exclusive live performance for Vevo. Brett Eldredge’s bonafides don’t need to be reiterated. Dude’s been turning heads and charting hits ever since his ‘Bring You Back’ debut arrived almost 20 years ago. From “Beat of the Music” to “Drunk On Your Love,” the Illinois native has always been an inspired songwriter and compelling performer. One reason is his eye for nuance and dedication to candor. His ‘Songs About You’ album, which arrived in June, has been discussed as a record that promotes self-assurance. Like many of us, the singer has existential doubts floating through his mind from time to time. With “I Feel Fine” and “Get Out Of My House,” ‘Songs About You’ addresses ways to stay steady when anxiety comes knockin’. Delivered with a poet’s touch, their messages seep into a listener’s head; each finds ways to dodge being didactic. Eldredge’s intimate performances of “Hideaway” and “Home Sweet Love” feature a spin on the candor mentioned above. With his full-throated vocals easing through the lyrics, it feels like he’s singing to a party of one. Connecting with the crowd is a cornerstone of country music. Eldredge is a pro at it.
