Freyja [Viking Psytrance] - Hibascape

Welcome to Song 2 of my new series, North Pantheon, where I create a psytrance anthem for each of the famous Norse pagan gods. This track is dedicated to Freyja, Norse pagan goddess of love, beauty, war, death, magic, and gold. So who is Freyja? She rides a chariot pulled by cats (which is why I added Kattagýðja in the lyrics!), wears the legendary necklace Brísingamen, and receives half of the warriors who fall in battle, with the other half going to Odin. She's also a master of seiðr, or old Norse magic, and weeps tears of gold for her lost husband Óðr. This beat blends hard-hitting psytrance with a seductive, teasing groove and deep chants in Old Norse. Lyrics, while sparse, are original!
