The TRUE Stories Behind Menace II Society | MuwopTv

Allen Hughes has said it plainly: Menace II Society is 'actually a biography' — the story of a real young man from Jordan Downs whose life he and his brother heard about growing up. Caine and O-Dog are composites of real people. Ice Cube, Hughes says, 'virtually ghostwrote' the film. And Tupac's chapter of the story is stranger than the movie. The real people, the real projects, and the real 1991 killing that hangs over the film — Latasha Harlins. The full story behind the classic, released May 26, 1993 on a $3.5 million budget.
