If you find someone collapsed, you should first perform a primary survey. If it shows that they are unresponsive but breathing, then you can place them in the recovery position. The recovery position is the safest position to put a casualty in when they are breathing normally, but not responding to you. The recovery position helps maintain the casualty’s airway until emergency help arrives. This video will show you how to place someone in the recovery position step by step.
