What Does the Bible Say When You Feel Lost in Life?

*What do you do when you don't know where your life is going?* There are seasons when you work, make plans, move forward — and still feel like you have no idea where your life is heading. You may wonder if you're falling behind. If you've made the wrong decisions. If you've wasted too much time. If God still has a purpose for your life. But the Bible doesn't promise that you'll always see the entire road. It teaches you to *trust God with the next step.* Abraham left everything without knowing where he was going. Joseph couldn't understand what God was doing while he was in prison. David spent years waiting before becoming king. Peter stepped onto the water, but began to sink when he stopped looking at Jesus and started looking at the storm. Their stories remind us of something important: *You don't need to see the whole road to know you're being led.* Proverbs 3:5–6 tells us to trust in the Lord rather than relying completely on our own understanding. Psalm 119:105 describes God's Word as a lamp for our feet and a light for our path. And Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that we may make our plans, but the Lord establishes our steps. Your life may not look the way you expected. The answers may not be here yet. The next chapter may still be hidden. But uncertainty does not mean God has abandoned you. Sometimes faith isn't knowing where the road ends. Sometimes faith is trusting God enough to take the *next step.* If you're in a season where you don't know what comes next, ask yourself: *What is the next faithful step God is asking me to take?* Maybe it's forgiving someone. Maybe it's making a difficult decision. Maybe it's starting again. Maybe it's letting go of something. Maybe it's simply trusting God today instead of trying to control tomorrow.
