Building a Beautiful Custom Electric Guitar | Elm, Okoume, Bosse Cedar, Flamed Maple, Korelian Birch + Bare Knuckle (Humbucker (bridge), Single-coil (Neck)) pickups | Full Build In this video, I take you through the full process of creating a custom set-neck electric guitar that brings together the natural beauty of exotic woods and fine handcrafted details. This build features a carefully selected combination of woods — a okoume body, elm top and back, with maple veneer, a bosse cedar and flamed maple neck with korelian birch fretboard, all accented with flamed maple binding and subtle maple pinstripes to create natural contrast and highlight the guitar’s elegant lines. Throughout the build, I use a variety of techniques to bring out the best in these materials, from precise carving and binding work, to applying a finish that really makes the colors and grain come alive. To give this guitar its voice, I’ve installed a set of classic Bareknuckle pickups (Old Guard Humbucker & Slow Hand Single-coil) for that warm, punchy rock tone, paired with a comfortable 24.69” scale length for easy playability.
