Paper Scraps & Easy Ephemera | Prompt 7 of 10 Days of Bits & Pieces

Welcome to Prompt 7 of the 10 Days of Bits & Pieces Challenge, hosted by Hilltop View Journals and Inky Mia over on Instagram. Today we’re putting those little paper scraps to good use and creating simple pieces of ephemera and collage bases that can be added to our journals whenever we need them. This prompt is really about using what you already have, letting go of perfectionism and creating something that doesn’t need to be finished straight away. Sometimes the simplest little scraps can become the starting point for a whole journal page. If you’re taking part in the 10 Days of Bits & Pieces Challenge, we’d love to see what you’re creating. Share your projects over on Instagram and use #10daysofbitsandpieces2026 so we can find them. Prompt 8 is stitching, and I’m looking forward to exploring a few simple ways to use stitching in journals and collage in tomorrow’s video.
