Great Italian version for the song love story by the great Italian singer who left a lagecy of songs Peppino Gagliardi. A little about him. Peppino Gagliardi (25 May 1940 – 9 August 2023) was an Italian singer. Peppino Gagliardi was born in Naples on 25 May 1940. His first hit in Italy came in 1963 with "T'amo e t'amerò". In 1970, he had another big hit with the song, Settembre, and more hits followed in the early 1970s. Gagliardi achieved two-second placings at the Sanremo Music Festival: in 1972 with "Come le viole" and in 1972 with "Come un ragazzino". His music declined in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. His last entry at the Sanremo Music Festival was "L'alba" in 1993. One of his songs, "Che vuole questa musica stasera", is part of the original soundtrack of Scent of a Woman by Dino Risi, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. by Guy Ritchie, The Ruthless by Renato De Maria, and Welcome Home by George Ratliff. The song was also used in an episode of Season 2 of the Belgian series Professor T. Gagliardi died in Rome on 9 August 2023, after an illness, at the age of 83. Lyrics of the song translated in English. Thank you, my love, to have challenged the whole world together with me— to have tried another life at my side— to have been wrong and then paid even more— together with me. Thank you because I know that this love will never end. Even if the world collapses around us, I will not cry— somehow I will manage to say goodbye. But telling you goodbye is not possible— to think of you and not to smile— to not be there in your eyes. But no—I'm not saying goodbye because you live in me. We are now the earth and the tree— the light, the sun—I know nothing more, I know nothing more. Thank you, my love— from this night forward, I will only come back to you— from your glass I will drink as usual— onto your pillow I will slide my hand— and you will be there. Onto your pillow I will slide my hand— and you will be there.
