What If Mereoleona Raised Asta and Yuno

Mereoleona Vermillion finds two orphaned babies on a church step in Hage and decides to raise them herself, defying every rule of the Clover Kingdom's rigid class system. Asta grows up without mana in a world that measures worth by magical power, while Yuno develops extraordinary wind magic under Mereoleona's unconventional training in the mountains. The royal House Vermillion refuses to acknowledge the boys in their family ledger, but Mereoleona raises them at a hunting lodge on the estate grounds, training them on cliffs and in wild mana zones. Through childhood challenges, the attack on the capital, and battles that nearly destroy the kingdom, she defends their place at her side against nobles and elders alike. The story tracks how growing up under a warrior's guidance shapes both boys differently than canon, culminating in Asta receiving the one thing he never had in the original timeline: a mother who claims him by name.
