Charles Blow on the Intersection of Black Civil Rights and Gay Rights

Charles Blow chats with “The Prophets” author Robert Jones Jr. about the intersectionality of being Black and being gay, homophobia in the Black community, and racism in the LGTBQ+ community. “Black gay people have to defend gay rights and Black people’s civil rights even when they conflict,” Blow says. “They’re constantly having to keep a tally of who stands with them and who stands against them.” #Racism #LGBTQ #CivilRights
