Finding Shelter in God | Psalm 27:1–9

Finding Shelter in God | Psalm 27:1–9 *Do you feel safe?* Safe in your home, your community, your country, or even in this world? We live with fears and uncertainties about our health, our loved ones, our future, and the world around us. Yet, in Psalm 27, King David—himself surrounded by enemies and dangers—declares with remarkable confidence: "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" In this sermon, we discover that true safety is not found in the absence of danger or difficulty, but in the presence and promises of God. David reminds us that the greatest blessing we can seek is to dwell in the presence of the Lord, who is our shelter, our refuge, and our salvation. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has accomplished something that no enemy, no suffering, and not even death can take away from us: the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of everlasting life. Our circumstances may remain uncertain, and our fears may not immediately disappear. But *our salvation rests not upon what we have done, but upon what Christ has done for us—and that can never be undone.* Join us as we explore what it means to find lasting shelter in God, even in a frightening and uncertain world. *Scripture:* Psalm 27:1–9 *Sermon:* Finding Shelter in God *St. Paul's Lutheran Church (LCMS)* Brown Deer, Wisconsin Learn more: https://www.stpaulsbrowndeer.org/ #Psalm27 #FindingShelterInGod #JesusChrist #ChristianSermon #Lutheran #LCMS #FaithOverFear #GodsGrace
