Coupé Jeté en Tournant en Manége

This video presents coupé jeté en tournant en manége by Herman Cornejo, Alina Cojocaru, and Leonid Sarafanov. Coupé grand jeté en tournant en manége is a series of grand jetés in a circle. The dancer does a quick turn (coupé) before the grand jeté (split jump) and repeats the jetés in a circle. As in pirouettes, the dancer “spots” by delaying rotation of the head until it snaps around to the original position, focusing on a particular “spot” while the body moves at a constant speed. The dancer is constantly changing the spot in order to execute the jetés in a circle.
