Cupar Model Rail 2023 – Part 3

We visited the Cupar Model Rail Show which was held in the towns Corn Exchange building. Despite travelling with ScotRail under the threat of a yellow thunderstorm warning (Scottish summer!) our trains were mostly on time and all the rain fell while we were inside at the show – good timing. The event was remarkably busy with two floors in use and we enjoyed a great number of excellent and highly detailed layouts. There were also more train sets than usual that children could control themselves which was a great idea. Children were also admitted free and the excellent show guide was also free of charge - a great value event. This was the 30th annual event for this show and we visited on 15th July 2023. To celebrate the 30th show there was an exclusive OO wagon (from Dapol) on sale. This was a 10T 5 Plank Drop-Side Open Wagon with owner branding depicting a local paper company, “Guard Bridge Paper Coy Ltd”. Of course we had to buy one and you can see it in the video for Part 3. Note: There are some layouts featured which we have covered before from other shows. However they still look great and sometimes feature different traction and rolling stock (or we just filmed them better this time!!).
