First Pack Opening!

I saved up to buy a bunch of Hobbit Collector Packs! Magic product has become a bit to expensive for me. I'm going to be sticking to buying singles after the Hobbit and Star Trek sets. But I wanted to enjoy one last adventure into cracking packs before I gave it up. When I was a kid, I loved opening new packs of Magic cards. It wasn't often, I was awful at Magic, and I couldn't tell a good card from a bad card. I knew two things. Big creatures were awesome and the art was AMAZING. I still play, and I prefer to use standard layout cards for my decks with playsets. But my goodness do I enjoy collecting the fancy alt art cards and tricking out my commander decks. Opening collector packs hits a part of my childhood nostalgia perfectly. But even when the LotR collector packs came out, the MSRP was passing reasonable for colorful card board, even for a person with a nominal amount of disposable income. So I'm giving my self a few last adventures with the Hobbit set and the Star Trek set. This is the first video of a series requested by my girlfriend. I will be opening the 12 loose collector packs we were able to find in stores. And then hopefully moving onto a collector box or 2 if they ever arrive. These videos will focus on the mechanics of cards and some of the lore behind these cards. My girlfriend has enjoyed watching the videos I have made and finds the structure to be an easier way for her to learn and understand more of how to Play Magic.
