After Five Years - Back To My Village !

Sometimes, we are far away even when we are close. It had been five years since I last went back to my village. In simple terms, if I had to explain what happened, I would say: work and being busy. So when I heard that my Kanxa Baba was coming back from the US and wanted me to join him for a week, I immediately set aside two weeks of vacation from work and went with him. Five years is a long time, and a lot had changed in my village. I was glad that this time, I could bring my camera with me and document our time there. Since he had limited time, we could only stay for two days. But those two days were beautiful. Sometimes, even a short amount of time is enough to create memories that stay with you. So, here is what I managed to capture during those two days. And more than just a video, this is a promise to myself—to return to my village with the determination to stay longer, explore more, and document its stories, its people, and the life that exists there. One day, I hope to turn that journey into a full-length documentary about my village, Chimkhola.
