1950s Speedwell Bike (Part 1)

This is a Canadian-made bike, not the more famous Australian marque… but perhaps they are related(?). I now know (thanks to a quick look on the internet), that 28 x 1 1/4” Imperial Canadian = 27 x 1 1/4” Elsewhere! So it won’t be a problem getting new tires.
