1962 Matchless G50 | Ride to the Churchill Arms bike night Ok in contrast to my usual videos this video i give a short intro then i remain silent for the ride. This ride i was trying to find out if my changing for a warmer plug had sorted my low down lag. The answer is no. it still stuttered if i fisted it from below 4000rpm. But my oil was way warmer when i got home. It was a warmer day so maybe its a bit of this and a bit of the warmer plug. One other nice discovery was my tyres were super warm by the time i got home. A short ride these are very soft tyres. wont last long but fantastic for as long as they do. number plate keeps slipping down i presume from vibrations. I actually rubber against the tyre on a couple of dips as i can see it marked the tyre and residual rubber on the nut holding the plate on. Must figure this out. I cannot be sure why its doing what its doing as in its either too much air or too much fuel. My gut feeling says its too much air. So i shall keep tinkering with mixture screw and once i exhaust that i shall remove the carb and investigate. Forgot to take a walk around video of the event. Got talking to too many people. It did fill up though before i left. No bike of the night for the big G tonight.
