This week, Yaz sits down with Eleanor, a talented actress, singer and audio describer who is helping to make the arts more inclusive and accessible for everyone. Join them as they chat about Eleanor’s journey in the performing arts, her passion for audio description, and the opportunities and challenges she has encountered along the way. Eleanor shares what motivates her, how she became involved in accessibility work, and why representation and inclusion in the arts matter so much. As a result, only a small amount of additional audio description was required, and the BBC agreed to let Eleanor record the audio description herself. This means that viewers who switch on audio description will hear additional content narrated by Eleanor, adding an extra personal dimension to the programme.
