Sasthamcotta Lake or Sasthamkotta Lake, categorized as a wetland, the largest fresh water lake in Kerala, India meets the drinking water needs of more than half million people of the Quilon(Kollam) district. The lake is a designated wetland of international importance under the Ramsar Convention since November 2002.
