Christina Sass, President & CEO, International Youth Foundation (IYF) - The Charity Charge Show

Most nonprofits are one lost funder away from a crisis. Here's how a 36-year-old organization survived it. Christina Sass, President and CEO of the International Youth Foundation, joins Stephen Garten to unpack how IYF absorbed steep USAID funding cuts. In this episode, Christina Sass, President and CEO of the International Youth Foundation, explains how diversified corporate and foundation partnerships, plus a modest endowment, let IYF keep operating after losing major government funding. She also shares how IYF is using AI to scale labor market data for young people, what she learned building Andela before moving into nonprofit leadership, and how her father's career shaped her view of what a job really gives someone.
