Giant Schindler 330A Hydraulic Elevator @ Star Furniture in Webster, TX

Filmed: 8/5/23 I made my way down to Webster to film some elevators since I don’t believe hotels near where I live are the friendliest about filming. Not only is Webster home to NASA Space Center Houston, it also has a bunch of hospitals which I believe makes it the second medical capitol of Houston. I didn’t film too much but I filmed enough videos to keep uploading for a week. This is the Elevator at the Star store. Filming this was quite risky as there was a desk in front of the elevator on the first floor (Which explains why I started on level 2) and there are employees constantly walking around and with the store as dead as it made it even more riskier. But I somehow did it. Im guessing this is a passenger/freight elevator as it is very very big. When I looked on the records, it said that they had a late-80s installation. I was hoping it would be a Dover Impulse or even a ESCO but I was disappointed when I realized it was a basic 330A. I suppose that this is some sort of mod as 330As and 321As haven’t even came out yet. Weird mod when you can have a new one newly installed but I’m guessing it was cheaper to just mod rather than build a new unit. Installed in 1987
