Sound Deadening My Toyota Soarer JZZ30 | Stage 1 – Front Doors

Stage 1 of sound deadening my 1991 Toyota Soarer JZZ30! In this video, I'm kicking off a full sound-deadening project on the Soarer, starting with the front doors. Before pulling everything apart, I took the car out for a road test with a decibel meter to establish a baseline for cabin noise. This will give me something to compare against as I work through the different stages of the project. I then removed the front door cards, prepared the panels and installed butyl sound-deadening material to help reduce vibrations, rattles and unwanted noise. What I thought would be a straightforward job ended up taking around three days, so I've decided to break the project into stages. This first video focuses entirely on the front doors, with more sound-deadening work to follow as I tackle the rest of the interior.
