Thousands gathered in central London for March for Life UK 2026, walking from Westminster through the capital to Parliament Square in a public witness for the dignity and protection of human life. The annual pro-life march in London brought together Catholics, other Christians and people from a wide range of backgrounds, including young people, families, clergy and religious, united in opposition to abortion and in support of mothers, children and families. This year’s March for Life UK also received a message from Pope Leo XIV, who emphasised the inviolable dignity of every human person and warned that when this principle is obscured, the most vulnerable are the first to suffer. Throughout the day, EWTN Great Britain spoke with bishops, priests, students and other participants about why they came to London, the role of prayer in the pro-life movement, the need to combine truth with charity, and why many describe March for Life as something bigger than a protest — a joyful witness to the Gospel of Life. Participants also reflected on the growing presence of young Catholics and families, the importance of practical support for women facing difficult pregnancies, and the encouragement that comes from discovering that those who defend unborn life are not alone.
