Playing with NEW R&F Drawing Oils | Art Supply Haul & Studio Time

Come spend some time with me in the studio as I unbox and experiment with my new R&F Drawing Oils oil pigment sticks! In this art studio vlog, I'm trying out these wonderfully creamy oil sticks, exploring new colors, and using them alongside my collection of vintage oil paint sticks to create playful still life sketches. Over a couple of studio sessions, I sketch a pepper and a beautiful blue-purple glass bottle with flowers, exploring color combinations, layering, and expressive mark-making. I'm particularly interested in seeing how these new R&F Drawing Oils work alongside my older oil sticks and how I might incorporate them into future mixed media paintings. There's also a little everyday life thrown in, including an unfortunate encounter with some extremely hot peppers. Apparently, roasting peppers and filming an art vlog on the same day is an occupational hazard! This is a relaxed, experimental studio vlog about trying new art supplies, making time for sketchbook practice, and enjoying the process of creating without worrying too much about the finished result. Welcome to Practice of Wonder, where I share my art practice, creative experiments, sketchbook sessions, and the everyday adventures of building a creative life while working full-time. If you enjoy mixed media art, expressive still life painting, sketchbook inspiration, art supply hauls, and realistic artist studio vlogs, I'd love to have you along for the journey!
