Columbus Grove-Ottawa-Leipsic, OH LP Supercell | 08/15/26

A MCV would slowly drift into Ohio on Saturday August 15, 2026. With low LCLs, slow storm motions and decent wind shear, a conditional window up supercells and brief tornadoes would ensue for the Western half of Ohio. I chose the northern mode as I thought the terrain wouldn’t be so water-logged and obviously is goated for its goated grid road network. I would immediately jump on this supercell as it developed. I would track the slow moving supercell for over a hour. This is easily my favorite LP supercell I’ve seen in Ohio in my 10+ years of storm chasing.
