Painting New Mexico with the Earth Itself | Pigments of Place

I paint the landscape with the landscape. Since moving to New Mexico, I’ve been gathering earth, crushing rock, and making pigments from the colors I find here. Pigments of Place: New Mexico is a body of work shaped by the mesas, desert, forests, and horizons of this place. This film is a glimpse into that process and the story behind my upcoming exhibition. I’d love for you to see the work in person. Opening reception October 4, 2026 · 4–7 pm Lamy Chapel at Bishop’s Lodge Santa Fe, New Mexico Presented by Bobby Beals Presents https://www.bealsandco.com/events/202...
